Camp - Day 3

Camp day 3 was awesome! After a good nights sleep (we slept inside the building and of course no rain) I was energized and ready for the day. A very similar day to yesterday along with so many laughs our stomachs hurt... breakfast, English lessons, free time, lunch at 2 pm, games, free time, dinner, the message and small groups.

Breakfast was a little rough for some of us today. Two pieces of bread with a lot of butter, some eggs and a block of feta cheese. Johnny wasn't a fan.

Today the English lessons went really well. We had lots of fun with the kids playing spoons and charades. They have become comfortable with us so the conversations have been a bit easier.

For game time we played Jaba Jaba, the kids loved it especially the boys. We had an all staff (American and Albanian) game and one Albanian leader (Maly, who won last year) and Jeff and Jake left towards the end. Jeff was out next and the crowd went wild. You would have thought this was the World Cup. So yes Maly came through and got Jake out. It was a great time. We also played Paper Jam. That was a little crazy, Kailee got trampled by a boy but after she came in crying I saw some of the leaders helping her and a minute later she was back out there to play again.

By the way... when Shiloh makes her entrance, she's the star and rightfully so. Everyone loves her. The kids can't get enough of her so she is passed from person to person until Cory and Kristine leave. Babies are great ice breakers! ;)

For part of free time we sat under the shade getting Sheep (Albanian language) lessons by our teenager friend, Redey. This is my favorite part! It is so fun to learn another language.

It was really a great day! Jeff gave another great message on Luke 7, the sinful woman forgiven. Our group time after the message seemed profitable. We found out 2 of the older boys come from Muslim homes. One of the boys parents don't mind him going to church and believing in Christianity (which means most likely the family is only Muslim by name and not practice) and the other boys family there is turmoil because of him choosing Christianity. He says his family life has been hard. But also communicated that God brings trials in his life to change him.

At the end of the night we had an Albanian dance party. This might be my favorite part too! I will have to upload video on Facebook when I get home because this is so fun to be a part of but hard to explain when your tired. :)

During the video we noticed Soren (leader from GCV) leading some kids in a work out session over by the boy tents. Had to document this moment, we all laughed so hard. Soren says they asked him to work out together.

The night ended with the music stopping and the lights going out. Good times!
