Philippines here we come!

We left home at 3:30 am on Wednesday, November 18th and headed to the Long's house to meet up with everyone. After packing up we were on the road to LAX. As we were all checking in we found out Greg accidentally booked his flight for the 19th so the airline checked for an open seat and there was one but he would have to wait in South Korea to see if he could get on the next plane or stay the night and get on his originally booked flight from there the next day. The first leg of the trip was a 13 hour flight to South Korea and yes it felt long. Six hours into the trip I asked Jeff how much longer we had, thinking it was maybe another 3 or 4 hours, and I was very disappointed to find out we had 7 left to go. We finally arrived in South Korea after 4 movies, 2 meals and a little sleep.

We all raced to the connecting flights area to get Greg up to the front where he could find out if there was an available seat. After getting through security again they told him there was 2 seats but he would have to wait on the standby list. We had all been praying that God would allow us to all go together. And Greg was as cool as a cucumber through it all. Not sure I would have been the same if it was me. :)

Well God answered our prayers and we all got on the plane together. We were on our final plane that arrived in Cebu a couple minutes after midnight on the 20th of November. We grabbed our luggage and headed for the shuttles. Everyone piled in the shuttles and we arrived at a beautiful hotel in the middle of the city. Everything is decorated for Christmas here. There are big and beautiful Christmas trees in every hotel and every store. And when we pulled up to this beautiful hotel I couldn't believe we were staying there. And paying less for 6 nights than Jeff and I payed for 2 nights in Ventura a couple weeks ago. It was late and we all retired to our rooms only to get up a couple hours later for breakfast at 8:30 am...
